DECK COATINGS
VEHICLE & PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC

From patio decks, sidewalks and breezeways, to wood and concrete substrates, our team can install any type of deck coating required by your structure, for both pedestrian and vehicle traffic.

At D&R Masonry Restoration, you can always rely on us to treat each job with individual care and attention - we work with you to create custom designs with tailored techniques to fit your project and specs.

Vehicle and pedestrian traffic deck coatings are typically made with polyurethane rubber and are applied in a smooth liquid form that then cures into hard levels. Our vehicle and pedestrian traffic deck coatings help to keep your surfaces waterproof, sleek, skid-resistant, and durable for years to come. They can protect from multiple factors including moisture, general climate, and future cracks while sealing up tight issues you may currently have. For example, if your deck, ramp, or walkway have developed problem areas where moisture is seeping through, we can fill them in by covering them in the coating. This coating then stays strong as a reliable layer to both keep your old cracks completely closed and to stop new damage from being able to form. This is particularly important in colder weather, when water can do extra harm as it constantly goes through a freezing and thawing cycle. If you are protecting a building to keep it dry, you obviously do not want this process to interrupt your normal duties – leaks and/or water damage aren’t just irritating, they can cause a considerable amount of damage. You also do not want water and snow to constantly be tracked in and out of your establishment. The addition (or repair and restoration) of deck coatings for pedestrian and vehicle traffic allows you, your customers, and employees to feel more safe and secure by helping stop trip hazards and slippery surfaces. This can be especially important for disabled users such as those in wheelchairs – another reason why having a smooth surface without cracks or gaps is very important.

If you’re considering deck coatings for well-travelled locations, your property likely gets a lot of wear and tear. Traffic and pedestrian deck coatings allow your customers to enjoy a durable waterproof surface that will look good for years. It is also typically quite easy to clean.

More specifically related to traffic concerns, coatings do an excellent job at protecting your areas from tricky issues to do with deicing salt, gas, oil, anti-freeze, chemicals, and general abrasion, as well.

Our capable team can tackle a very wide range of projects in a skilled and expert manner. If you want to consider other services of ours, such as above and below grade waterproofing, joint filler or repair, parking repair or coatings, or carbon fiber strengthening, just let us know! We offer lots of options designed to give you stability, comfort, and real usability, whatever your property needs.

Whether you are protecting the structure from water damage or you are keeping your occupied space dry, we’re the coating professionals you can rely on for properly determining exactly the right product and the best design for the specific needs of your structures.
